making student work matter: a screencast

this screencast is part of a larger project that i’ve been working on for the last year and a half or so, one that aims to publicly circulate student-generated course work. in particular, this project features the audio and visual media produced in my upper-division workshop course “digital media production”.

the screencast offers an overview of the project, how and why it originated, and the ways that i’ve developed it since then. at its heart is The Place of Sound, a radio show/podcast featuring student work.

this screencast is based on a conference presentation that i delivered at the STLHE (Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education) annual conference during the summer of 2022.
